Ramiro Burr: Shakira's Tour DVD is the next best thing to live concert [Source]

For the Shakira fans who were rocked by her U.S. concerts last fall, the experience is only a thrilling memory today.
Now they can relive the excitement with Shakira's just-released DVD "Oral Fixation Tour," a 16-track DVD that includes several bonus cuts.

Shakira also contributed three songs to the movie "Love in the Time of Cholera," an adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's novel. Two are new: "Hay Amores" and "Despedida," both written and produced by Shakira with Pedro Aznar and soundtrack composer Antonio Pinto ("City of God"). The third is "Pienso en Ti," a track from her CD "Pies Descalzos."

Shakira talked about the songs and the movie at a recent Los Angeles press conference, which was made available to music writers via podcast.

"To create music for a movie based on one of the most extraordinary writers in history, and also a very close friend of mine, García Márquez, was an opportunity that I did not want to miss," she said. "That's why I accepted the challenge. I can't deny that making music for this movie has been one of the biggest challenges in my history as a person, as a musician, as a songwriter and as a producer.

"The big question mark was, 'How do you make music for a movie inspired by a masterpiece that already has so much music in it'? The works of García Márquez are very distinctive because of its cadence and its rhythm and the musicality and its metaphors."

"Love in the Time of Cholera," which is now playing in San Antonio, stars Javier Bardem and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

"It's an honor to be a part of a movie that captures so well the very essence of my country," Shakira said. "The Colombia of García Márquez, the Colombia of such beauty and contrasts and poetry; the Colombia that nurtured me like a mother, the Colombia that I so profoundly love."

With the latest in sound and stage technology, most new DVDs do a fine job of presenting a captivating effects-laden show, giving home viewers a sense of being there. Shakira's "Oral Fixation Tour" DVD does not disappoint.

The sound is stunning, especially if you have a home theater setup. The visuals are no less captivating, with mesmerizing overhead shots and tight close-ups.

At the same Los Angeles press conference, Shakira described how she approached her recent tour and DVD.

"My music is something I create in the isolation of my life and my recording studio and my home," she said. "But to bring all that music onto the stage and share it with thousands of people and see how they enjoy themselves and they're having a good time, that's what I live for, really. It's something that doesn't compare to anything else in the world."

The tour lasted 14 months and stopped in 140 cities. An entire month was dedicated to preparing the production and the design of the show.

"I dedicated a few hours every day to look for new moves and ideas for the choreography," Shakira said. "Another big part of the day was dedicated to re-arranging some of the songs with the musicians, which is something I get involved in to the most extreme details. I'm an arranger myself, so it's something that I really enjoy — reshaping the songs, especially for the live approach."

DVD extras include two documentaries, "Pies Descalzos (Barefoot)," about the Shakira foundation dedicated to building a school for underprivileged students in Colombia, and "Around the World in 397 Days," a behind-the-scenes tour diary.

[Source] KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Territory PAS Youth Exco members have handed a memorandum to Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Hakim Borhan calling for the cancellation of Gwen Stefani’s The Sweet Escape 2007 concert next Tuesday.

Stefani, 38, will be performing at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur at 8.30pm.
A five-man team, headed by Kamaruzaman Mohamad, handed the memorandum yesterday to KL City Hall Enforcement Inspector Adnan Baba at the City Hall lobby. Adnan passed it on to the Special Officer to the Mayor, Mohd Nazam Harun.
“This concert does not bring any good to Malaysians except invite youngsters to enjoy themselves, mix around too freely, get drunk and commit sins,” he said.
Asked if he had seen any of her concerts, Kamaruzaman said he had not but had seen her pictures on the Internet and advertisements on television and they were indecent.
Earlier, the team also handed over a memorandum to Maxis Communications Bhd, the parent company of Hotlink, the concert’s presenter.

I just don't understand why are certain parties making such a big fuss over the concert. Get drunk and commit sins?! Hell, I think some of our local acts are able to do so, and yet their concerts are not getting as much attention as Gwen's. Ugh! Let's see what's going to happen...

Shakira who was signed with Panasonic last March where she created commercials and ads for Panasonic audio visual products including LUMIX digital still cameras for the Latin American market.

The recent commercials have been filmed in the Bahamas and Shakira will represent Panasonic until March of 2008.

The latest man to fall into the hard-partying pop star’s orbit is Matt Encinias, a 21-year-old college student who tells Us Weekly the exclusive details of his twisted night with Spears in the latest issue.

In just five hours, Encinias went from being an extra in her latest video to pounding drinks and locking lips with the single mom of two in a rooftop pool at L.A’s Standard Downtown hotel.

Although Spears was expecting her two young sons to be dropped off at her Beverly Hills home at noon (as per her custody arrangement with their father, Kevin Federline), the singer had arranged to have the pool reopened at 2 am for the exclusive use of her group, which included then-assistant Shannon Funk and some hand-picked male extras from her video shoot.

7 Moonmen nominations for Beyonce, Justin.

The two artists will square off in the video of the year category, with their songs "Irreplaceable" and "What Goes Around ... There are many categories which got the cut from MTV whilst the new, rather weird ones were introduced. Best Collabo got a new name, which is Best Earth-shattering Collaboration. There's also a new category called Quadruple Threat of the Year, where nominees have certain degree of success in multiple fields (music, movie, concert, and what is the other one???). In addition, there's also Monster Single of the Year, which, surprisingly didn't include Irreplaceable as one of the nominated songs. No more viewers choice awards. Instead, viewers can now choose the winner for Best new Artist (which I think will most probably go to Carrie Underwood, who is contending agaisnt Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, just to name a few). It has been long since I updated myself with the spanking new music which is making hot waves in the industry right now. Lately, I'm pretty much hooked up with Rihanna's new album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Well, the album is most notable for the current hit, Umbrella, but there are a couple of songs to look out for too, such as Breakin Dishes, Don't Stop The Music and Shut Up and Drive (which happens to be the next single to be issued). Unlike her previous albums which were more reggae tone inspired, the sound from this album has been repackaged and reinvented in order to build a wider appeal, and hell, it did. Looks like Rihanna's going to make a big name for herself as she turns bad.

OMFG! Rainie Yang, the singer-host-actress who is well popular all over the Asian countries has officially challenged Jake Gyllenhaal to the brokeback mountains in the latest lesbian film she participated in, called <刺青>. Wow, she's really stepping up the game and trying to nick the the top female entertainer in Taiwan. The movie seems to be quite explicit in a way that she did things that requires parental guidance as reported in this article. To date, the movie has done well in Taiwan with a box-office of $20million in the province. Bravo!

Yet another no.1 video to watch out for! I have mentioned about this hot video before, and here it is, a single post devoted for it. Beautiful Liar is the latest offering, marking the first collaboration and team up between two goddess of the music industry, Beyonce and Shakira, two of my favorite stars up till this very second. The like the song itself, though doesn't crave for it, but for the video, it's totally awesome! They just looked so alike in the video! Check it out!

Basically, at the beginning of the video, both faces of Shakira and Beyonce are masked behind smoke. As the video progresses they are featured against several different backgrounds, including: a sunrise (Beyonce) and sunset (Shakira); sheets blown in the wind; bamboo covered in yellow orchids; a room with blue neon lighting and Arabic writing on the walls; and finally a background of stormy weather. B'Day gets a reissue! Packed with new tracks including the newly Beautiful Liar and Irreemplazable (Spanish version of Irreplaceable), the deluxe edition would hit shelves on April 3rd. I couldn't wait to get it. Above and beyond, it includes a string of videos, or should I say videos for all the tracks in it, including unreleased songs such as Freakum Dress and Green Light which would feature the Lost Destiny Child, fellow bandmate Michelle and Kelly, which marks the first reunion of the trio in 3 years?!

NEW YORK -- Music World/Columbia Records will release Beyonce's “B'Day” Deluxe Edition, an expanded two-CD edition of the pop star’s best-selling Grammy-winning solo album, on April 3.

In addition to the original 12 tracks from Beyonce's multi-platinum album, Disc One premieres five brand-new songs in English: "Kissing You," "Flaws & All," "Welcome To Hollywood," a hidden bonus track, "Worldwide Woman," and the expanded album's first single, "Beautiful Liar," a duet between Beyonce and Shakira.

Disc Two debuts six new Spanish language tracks, including "Amor Gitano," Beyonce's sensuous flamenco-pop duet with Latin Grammy-winning singer Alejandro Fernandez.

2006 is wrapping up soon. X'Mas is just 4 days away. While this is the time which everyone is really looking forward too, I don't really anticipate it though. Well, it's never an important day for me since young. No exchanging presents. No mistletoes. No christmas tree. No turkey. Just a plain Christmas in my mind. Yet, I'm fine with it.

Anyway, just like previous years, I'm going to pick the some of "favorites ... of 2006" to write on. So, here it goes...

Favorite Singles of the Year

1) Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie

This collaboration which was infused in the later edition fo Oral Fixation 2 shook up radios worldwide. It broke record in the US for the most spins in some pop radio. Here in Malaysia, it's also the most played song as advertised on a random poster in Tower Records. The song is so massive that it was even featured and performed during the World Cup under the bamboo version. It also hit no.1 almost everywhere in the world, one of the only few that were able to do so. All in all, definitely the song of the year!

2) JoJo - Too Little Too Late

While a few other teenager popstars failed to blossom in their early career, JoJo proved that she has the it factor to sustain in the industry. Her sophomore album is selling well thanks to a strong debut comeback single. The song was also everywhere. I remember tuning into Hits.fm while the song was broadcasted. Then, in another channel, the same song was also played. A friend of mine even heard the song for about 5 times within a short period of time. Crazeeeee.

3) Beyonce - Irreplaceable

With the mixed reviews of B'Day, Beyonce made the right choice to release this as her 2nd single internationally. (Note, its her 3rd one in the US since Ring the Alarm was released there too.) The song is pretty infectious up and down left to right. The acoustic guitar background and easy-to-be-remembered lyrics are the ups of the song. Everyone can easily pick up the golden lines of the song "to the left, to the left".

4) Justin Timberlake - Sexy Back

JT JT JT. I might not have liked his album, but I am in love with the beats of the song. Even though many argued that this is his weakest song from the album, I have plenty objections for that. I have to admit its one of the few listenable ones. It's a great club hits.

5) Nelly Furtado - Maneater

No longer the innocent and no long a bird, songstress Nelly returned with a breakthough comeback album. Compared to Promisncuous, I prefer this a lot better. The video's hot, and will keep one crumping and hitting the dancefloor every second. However, I have never actually heard this being aired in any clubs before. What a waste. It certainly is capable of getting the temperature rising at a faster pace.

6) Cassie - Me & U

If you have not even heard the song once before, you're a loser. This song is extraordinarily ordinary. Extremely sensual and groovy, the ladies might just pole dance to this song. Nonetheless, I personally think that it would be a little challenging to sing along with the song.

7) Christina Aguilera - Hurt

Also coming back is Xtina. Hurt is yet another classic, strong piece of work offered by the Best New Artist grammy winner few years ago. It does resemble something that we have heard before. Remember The Voice Within? Similar elements, musically and lyrically, yet both blows me away.

8) Fergie - London Bridge

Diverging into solo act, BEPs's only princess rocked the radio with this song. London, London, London... rather monotonous, it hit #1 easily by garnering huge sales physically and digitally. When it first came out, I hated it. But now, I kinda like it after spinning it for a few tens of times. Also to watch out is her second single Fergalicious that suggests that Fergie is delicious from every aspects. Was she also aiming to get the word fergalicious into the dictionary like how Beyonce did with bootylicious?

9) P Diddy feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Come To Me

It was a very sexy, hot team-up between the 2. It's not the usual love ballads, but a more contemporary R&B song which I think is great for hook-up occasions. Nicole proved that she doesn't need the other dolls to keep her on top of the music industry. I guess that explains why she's coming out with a solo debut album somewhere next year. Better watch that y'all. Meow!

10) Paris Hilton - Nothing In This World

Either like her or hate her. But admiration may start after hatred. That happened to me. Whilst many were sickened by her debut single Stars Are Blind, Nothing In This World is such a great song that it should be listed as one of the top pop songs this year in any widely acclaimed reviews.

Pink, a one time Grammy winner, has clearly suffered a downfall in her music career this year as the performance of her latest album, I'm Not Dead (which has been underrated by the industry), has not lived up to past success. In her latest single, U + Ur Hand, which refers to male masturbation, has yet to change her fortune. Saying that, it's also her weakest single to perform in the UK, though in the United World Chart, the single is currently sitting at no. 17. Anyway, I loved the single and the video. Both deserves a **** ratings. By the way, did you know that the video was shot together with the controversial, Stupid Girls? Awesome job done. Hope the risks that she has undertaken will pay off during any universal acclaimed award shows in the future.

Yes! Finally year-end holidays have officially commenced! I'll be so god damn free from now on. Just today, went to Redbox during late afternoon. Had a blast singing freely without any pressure and stress after exam (although I don't think I did great for my last paper, but should be adequate to pass with a Credit). Had a brief shopping spree today, and it left me with less money than ever. I wonder where did all my cash go this month. They are just 'lost'.

Okay, so this morning, the Britney filed for divorce news was the most talked, fresh news hot off Hollywood [source]. The news was everywhere on the radio, while I was skimming through my Statistics notes for the very last time. Finally, after 2 years, she has had enough of K-Fed, and hopefully, she has made the right choice this time. Only God Knows. May this be a new beginning for her and her family, and a clear, glorious start for her comeback career.

Meanwhile, Shakira is also making headlines continually. First, she changed her concert venue due to a protest [source]! Some entertainment updates. Things start to bore down with expected results again. Had a first listen to Evanescence's latest offer, The Open Door. Guess I'm never into alternative rock. So, the album is halfbad. No, it's really bad. Only 1 or 2 tracks are worth listening. An album which I wouldn't like. Sorry.

Movies update: The Grudge 2 opened at no. 1 in North America last weekend with a weak $22 million or so. I'm not keen in watching it, just because the vampire slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar had only a short appearance at the beginning of the movie before being replaced by a less popular actress (Amber Tamblyn). Other new wide opening movies include Man of the Year (no. 3) and The Marine (no. 6)[source].

Music update: In the States, Evanescence rocked the Billboard 200 with their comeback album, The Open Door, zooming past other several new releases to the top of the album chart. Ah I'm so full right now. Bought and ate a lot of food from the night market in my area. My expenditure rocketed since I started adopting this practice of going to pasar malam every Tuesday. Better stop it now. Went for my first (and could possibly be the last for now since I normally have classes on Tuesday)Beginner Hip Hop class today. With such an instructor, it doesn't motivate any less to go for each and every class of the same instructor. Nevertheless, Line Dance and Latino Salsa will still be in my schedule.

An entry exclusively for music and movies this time around. Haven't been updating myself with the movement of the charts lately. I'm very disappointed with what's hot, and what's not. Music and movie quality doesn't count when it comes to chart performance. That's saddening because there are some fine work that need to be acknowledged. Anyway, here's the update:

Movies update: Open Season ruled the End-September-Early-October Chart in the U.S. by opening with $23 million worth of tickets. Personally, I want to catch that movie as well. You might remember be doing that dope deer pose in a picture I posted long ago. Yeap, that's the movie. Okay, another high debut is Ashton Kutcher's latest flick, The Guardian at no. 2. Oh, Ashton was in Open Season too, playing the role of the deer! Whoa, what an achievement for him! Talk about star power. Other new films includes School for Scoudreds (#4) and Facing the Giants (#12). [source]

Locally, Miami Vice is the #1 film in GSC, Malaysia. DOA dropped slightly to the runner up spot trailed closely by the Banquet. Also making a new entry into the chart is the Wicker Man which I want to watch really badly.

Damn. Having a few assignments at a time is like having a serial killer after you which limits your ability to do all the things you want. 2 assignments are scheduled for submission next week. The first one is the weekly marketing assignment on Tuesday, followed up closely by Law assignment on Wednesday. Then, there is also another assignment for Accounting which needs to be submitted before 23rd of September. Just another 2 weeks of sufferings then I'll have a week of holiday. Yeap, that keeps motivating me.

Attended Adeline's farewell dinner party yesterday in the Lake (House) Club. I'm not to say that close to her, but separation is a difficult fact to face. These are the times when true friendship are reflected. Well, we have been friends since Form 2 I think, since we were in the same class. Since Form 4, although we enrolled into different streams where she went for Science and I ventured into Commerce, we bonded well under Interact Club. She has the down to earth, active and outgoing personality. She's smart. A good debator. And masters languages really well. She'll be leaving for UK to pursue Law. All the best to her and have a fun time there.

Fashion Rocks 2006

Fashion Rocks took place on Friday where it is dubbed a show where fashion meets music perfectly. Well, here's a short recap of the show.

Red Carpet

Jon Bon Jovi and his family brought a little bit of class to the table.

I'm lovin it. Now that Carmen Electra is single, she's looking all glamorous.

I'm not diggin into this one. Christina's wardrobe bores me at times. But at least since Dirrty, she has shown less skin than usual.

Fergie -Fer in the house y'all. What happened to her usual hip hop style?

Mischa Barton looking a tad hundrum.

Although not spectacular, simplicity works perfectly fine on Eva Mendes.

Hmm...

Denise Richards is certainly one of the best dressed entertainers to that show. Her dress is intelligibly perky and cute.

Rihanna stormed the crowd with this gorgeous dress.

Nelly Furtado is just looking a lot more feminine in a bad way these days.

The Dolls were a mess at the red carpet.

Performances

Elton John joined the Black Eyed Peas here. First, all of them performed Here I Am. Then, the stage cleared up for the London Bridge by Fergie before the rest of the members of BEPs joined her for another round of Pump It! Loved the performance. :)

Luckily, Baby Jane brought the show together again with her seems to be 2nd single, Candyman. That song is a great party starter.

Nelly Furtado stomped the stadium with the infectious tunes of Promisnous and Maneater. Anyone would argue that she stole the limelight of the show. Well, the performance was somehow stellar. However, it looked as if her style was influenced by Fergie.

With many hot performances, we surely need an S.O.S. from Rihanna. The performance was deliberately impressive. Still, her stylo was a bit off when induced with the song.

This is the performance of the night. It's just great to find Beyonce rocking the stage differently each and everytime she performs. It was a stunning, vigorous and agressive performance of Deja Vu that features bananas and twisted vocals! After watching it, a collaboration between Shakira and Beyonce should be made.

Nicole and her back up dancers, or shall I say the Pussycat Dolls heated up the crowd too. Nicole had some vocal problems in my opinion, and so an unknown member of the group replaced her towards the end where the song reaches the high notes. However, compared to Nicole, she did a rather bad rendition.

Rihanna returned with a much better dress in white to collaborate with Elton John. Here she looked much like the ever famous supermodel, Tyra Banks except that she's a size smaller. Then, the Pussycat Dolls joined in to contribute to the last song of the night before officially ending the show.

Movie updates: Snakes on a Plane thrilled most of the audiences at GSC as it sits right atop of the chart for week ending 6 September 2006. The runner up title belongs to Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu which I have no idea what the movie is about. Beneath Still Waters captured a satisfactory amount of moviegoers debuting at no. 6. With early shows, Little Man had a premature entry at lucky no. 8. Having similar debut is My Super Ex-Girlfriend at no. 9. My Name is Fame which was released on the 31st of August showed weak performance as it closed the chart at no. 10.

Music updates: Justin Timberlake collected his UK, US and Global #1 single this week with his 1st single, Sexy Back from his sophomore album. New CDs in stores includes albums from Jessica Simpson, Outkast and Beyonce (which I had already puchased one copy!).

As seen in the new series of photos, I have a new haircut. To those who have seen it, it's quite awful but luckily the picture doesn't show how horrible it is. With a new color, my hair is almost naturally black again. Britney and Jolin definitely got the black hair trend going on.

Following the death of the globally recognized Australian crocodile hunter, a message circulated in MSN Messenger yesterday requesting MSNers to include a turtle in front of their nicknames as a tribute to the loss of Steve Irwin. Like many others, I followed along. And there's the effect of the message:

Never in my life have I seen so many turtles in my contact list before. Awesome. We have just been turtlisted! However, there was also a sickening message which was spreaded saying that a new Trojan Virus attacks computers whose putting a turtle in their nickname. Who would have believed that hoax? I wouldn't for sure.

9481. The next time you encounter that number again, always remember Beyonce! Well, hereby I just want to wish her a big Happy Birthday! She just turned 25 this 4th September. Despite her young age, she has achieved a lot so far as a singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer. In the picture below, she is seen in the album launch conference which was attended by an amazing crowd of 10000 Japanese. Yeap, having said so, her new album B'day lands stores in a few countries yesterday including Japan, and by right the rest of the world today.

Went to various music stores yesterday, but it seemed that the album will take quite a while before hitting local stores. But being a devoted Beyonce fan, I (illegally) downloaded the album to have a first listen to all her songs in order to clear my excitement and anxiety. And hell yeah, she has delivered yet another really fine piece of work. Despite the fact that the album was produced and managed in a short period of time which is as short as 2 weeks from an article that I read. Some might argue that this album is no Dangerously In Love, but comparing both albums is unfair as both comprises musics of different messages and genre. In this album, Beyonce explores deeply with the beats of contemporary R&B, whilst she also blends it with more pop and dance sounds. On top of that, with angst, she has shown more emotions than before in this album. Great job. Really.

Slept so much yesterday, and found myself waking up at 12.30p.m. this afternoon! Guess was too tired. By the way, Tam, Vin, Adrien and I went to The Curve yesterday for Redbox Karaoke. Joyie and Momo were expected to be there too, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they did not turn up. Had lunch in Sakae Sushi for the first time, and man, the sushi there is delicious! However, I did not like the Ten Don. The sweet potatoe was substituted by carrot, and it was served without the sauce. Overall, food a 4/5 and service 3/5.

Alright, back to karaoke. We had so much fun, really, I ain't lying. We sang from BM to Japanese, from retro to contemporary, from rock to ballads, from Ms. Shita to Datin Siti, from Backstreet Boys to Christina Aguilera, from 2.00p.m. to 7.00p.m. Here are some of the pictures from the outing.

VERY disappointing. Shakira, being one of the 2 artists with the highest nominations this year onyl returned home with 1 minor award! As results are solely based on public votes, I guess it is expected to be fucked up. Sorry, I'm really sad for her as the video was amazing. Sigh. And heck, that James BLunt scored 2 moonmen, including best male with his infectious, irritating You're Beautiful video. What the- Gnarls Barkley scored 2 too. Kelly Clarkson bagged the moonman for best female with the influential video for Because of You. Um, Shakira deserved that award, but Kelly bested out with her amazing fanbase. Nevertheless, Beyonce was awarded a "orang bulan" for best R&B video. Congratulations. As for results for the award of the night, best video, it deeply upsetted the crowd and viewers. Just like previous posts, I have to admit that I have been busy lately (again). On Wednesday, although I have been whining how long my classes were, I decided to skip TWO lectures in a row that were Business Data Modelling and Accounting. Seriously, sometimes I do wonder how am I going to cope up on all the work I've been slacking continually since Semester 2 commenced.

On that night itself, made a visit to Sunway at night to my friends house for dinner. He's a good cook, and I'm not going to name who to those who know me. After that, had 3 of my friends back to my house for a sleepover. Had fun. I think they're amongst the first few friends whom have actually stayed a night or two in my house before. Lats but not least, everyone is aware that we have just celebrated the 49th national independence day on the 31st of August. So so, Happy Merdeka to everyone!

Touching on patriotism, Malaysia's renowned princess of pop, (Datin) Siti Nurhaliza is officially married. Here's a mesmerizing picture of her during her wedding dinner. During her wedding, various artistes such as Kris Dayanti and Nora were invited to pay their tribute and blessings to her. Datin herself performed too and as usual, her sweet voice blended well with the song to create a teary atmosphere.

Well, I'll seriously consider watching it when I have the free time.

Music updates: VMA just took place. Updates tomorrow. Justin Timberlake's latest single, SexyBack had knocked off the London Bridge from the no. 1 spot in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. In the Billboard 200, winners of Making the Band sponsored by P. Diddy, Danity Kane claimed the no. 1 title with their debut album.

For an amazing 16th week, Shakira still sits atop the global track chart, setting a new record as the longest track at no. 1 since the chart started a few years ago. Justin, once again, received the largest increase in airplay, and climbed 7 spots to no. 4! Been so busy lately. Since I had to hand up my first Accounting assignment on Friday before 12.00p.m., had to put more time in finishing it on days prior to deadline. Although I think I might get fairly low grades for my work, I'm quite satisfied with it as I did manage to complete it in time, and with little commitment and effort. Besides, I didn't really understand the questions anyway, so I guess my going round the bush exaggerations will not be effective this time around.

Weather had been a crazy man apparently. One moment, the sun glares at us through the clear sky. Otherwise, the thick blanket to our earth blocks the sight of the sun. Worse still, oversoaked cotton dries up by transmitting water to the ground. It delivered both tragedies and joy.

On Friday night, the rain was terrible. It spoiled plans. The street party in Monash/Sunway was disrupted at first. The strong wind causded damaged in the campus, by bringing down a huge board that broke a glass mirror. It caused flood in certain steep areas. The train service was interrupted by the critical moment. And above all that had been mentioned, I was late to Shirlyn's farewell party because I couldn't leave the campus.

Shirlyn or AbuGal, is my Taylors Classmate last year. She was one of the Beijing Girls. She loves pink. She's cute. She has good skin complexion. She has a warming and likeable personality. She took up a beauty course. She's consistent in work. She likes to "harrr". She threw a good party on Friday. She entertained us well. She took pictures with us. She can sing well. She's a frequent Redboxer. She will be heading to University of Technolody and Science, Hong Kong to pursue a Marketing Degree. She will be leaving this Sunday. Hereby, just want to wish her good luck in everything she does, and stay healthy as always.

Movie updates: Nationally, Remp-it is yet the movie champion for one consecutive week according to the GSC chart. New launches include The Ant Bully at no. 3 and Nacho Libre at no. 4 respectively. These days there are just such limited choices of movies in the local screens. Opening this week are Beneath Still Waters and Snake on a Plane.

Music update: Hips Don't Lie invades the world as the track leads the global chart for its 15th week. However, looking at the points collected for the track this week, big chance is that we'll have a new no. 1 next week. Still, Shakira's chart-topping hits should be acknowledged as the 2006 track of the year, and the longest track at no. 1 since the chart has been established. Bravo! Promisnous has supassed Maneater in the top ten, while Beyonce sees it's new single rounding up the top ten in its 7th week.

Justin's track gained the most points this week, landing at no. 11. There are 2 debuts this week. Firstly is the catchy Get Up by Ciara feat. Chamillionnaire, at no. 35. Then, Cherish feat. Youngbloodz fills in the 38th seat with their single Do it To It. Juanes seems to be enjoying quite a lot of airplay for A Dios Le Pido (no. 32), a single that was released very long ago. Has it been re-released to the worldwide radio stations? Not sure but all I know is that the song is undeniably nice and of quality.

Xtina released her sophomore effort after Stripped, named Back to Basics this time. The album entered both the Billboard and Global chart at no. 1! Another accomplishment for the Dirrty singer.

It seems that more and more people are falling sick these days. Pity 'em. I was sick a few weeks ago too, but have fully recovered since then. Mine was terrible compared to others as I had flu, fever, sorethroat, muscleache and stomachache. Sounds like dengue, but fortunately, it's not. Aikz, for all of you who's sick out there, may y'all fully recover as soon as possible!

Didn't really want to blog, but since I've been tagged! by Vin, I just thought of accomplishing my task today. So here it goes:

10 YEARS AGO I WAS:

Still in Standard 3. That time, I had Phang, Ee Vonn and Su Via as my close pals. We used to have loads of fun back. Many topics were the root to our insane, almost pathetic conversations. It was also the first time we used fruits to describe the different sizes of boobies. Naughty as we were only 9 years old. Looking back, I do miss the time I shared with the three of them. Other than that, nothing much happened within that time frame. Oh, I got fairly good grades during that year so I found myself in 4A the next year.

5 YEARS AGO I WAS:

A hardworking nerd in Form 2S. I was also appointed as the class monitor for the 1st consecutive year. During that year, I scored the best grades in my life so far, ousting Yin Yang for the no. 1 spot throughout the whole form. Talking about him reminds me of Shiau Kee. She was a friend of mine who left M'sia for Australia. Had been long since I heard from her.

A major event that took place that year was me being caught red-handed for gambling in school by my BM teacher back then. And guess what, it was just my first round playing after being persuaded by my friends who absolutely induced me with bad influences. I can't believe I got busted so quickly. Nevertheless, I won RM1 afterall although I had to sign an offensive letter that is filed in my school record.

It was also the year when I had my first and last cheerleading practice. Even though I belonged to Green House, I helped out with Blue House instead. Being a weakling at that time, I didn't make it to the actual team that performed. All the practices turned out to be a waste of my time. Damn.

1 YEAR AGO I WAS:

In Taylors Business School undertaking Taylors Business Foundation. There, I met my F4 members, Piggy and Donkey. It was certainly the best time of my life as I did many great, unexpected things with them. Skipping lectures, backstabbing and bitching about others, celebrating birthday in Secret Recipe, bashing up Sunway Lagoon, cam-whoring in Piggy's house, etc. Uncountable great memories that always remind me to appreciate all the time I have with them.

YESTERDAY I WAS:

Going through the same old routine of Dirty Tuesday. Received my above expectations results of for Business Data Modelling test. Uni turned into a circus yesterday as Fitness First came to promote their sheat alongside with Ciba Vision, Clinique, etc. Then, had another boring tutorial for Business Law and since someone wasn't there, the class turned out to be superboring instead. Finally, Marketing lecture ended the day gracefully. The lecturer reocmmended us with some remedies to release stress, before telling us his 'past life' and all.

Sometimes, I bloody hate Streamyx whenever there is a bad connection, or some maintenance shit that lasts for a few hours/days. I know they're trying to upgrade their system to provide us with better services, but can'y they come up with some back-up internet connection? Anyhow, broadband yields a lot of benefits to me already so, I shouldn't be complaining much, should I?

Anyway, did some groceries shopping the other day and I bought some new snacks in the market. First up, Munchy's very own mini chipsmore called mochachips. It tastes just like Danone's Chipsmore with hazelnuts, but with an extra touch of blended mocha flavour. Nevertheless, the sweetness is a bit over the top. And the price? Only RM1.55/packet, which is cheaper than Danone by 20 cents!

Always rely on Twisties to bring new ideas to the market! And here there are, 2 extremely weird flavors of corn snacks. The first one is salmon teriyaki flavor, which is not too bad. The smell of it stinks to me, yet it tastes okay in the mouth.

The second flavor is tandoori chicken! The real tandoori chicken is delicious, and to be honest, Tandoori Chicken Twisties is good too. However, the taste resembles a bit of the all time favorite BBQ flavor.

So, Paris Hilton has released her debut album simply titled Paris. After listening to the whole album, I still can't figure out why did she claim that she can sing really well. Although there are a couple of tracks which are listenable, others are almost ear-torturing. I might have been dissing Stars Are Blind all these while, but I've gotta admit it that it sounds good eventually. Just compare it with Turn It Up; Stars is superior. My ratings for each song are posted below, followed by an average rating for the album which is rounded up with some extra personal credits for her effort and determination to bring something new (yet bad) to the music industry.

Movies update: In Northern US, Will Ferrell continues his reign as the bof office champion for one consecutive week. Top debut at no.2 this week is Step Up, a dance movie which has been compared to Save the Last Dance and Take the Lead. The outstanding performance of the movie suprised most analysts. I've seen the movie, and I can just say that the movie is bad! World Trade Center sits at third place. (source) Nationally, Remp-It, the new Malay film, is the no. 1 film in the GSC Chart! Oh my god. I can't believe the ammount of responses the movie is receiving. I'd never thought that the movie will surpass Click (no. 2) as this weeks box office champ. Shocking. Garfield 2 also arrived at a satisfactory no. 3.

Music update: Incredible chart performance by Shakira with her song, Hips Don't Lie atop of the Global Chart for 14 weeks. The top 10 is almost unchanged, and Nelly Furtado now has 2 tracks in the top 10 position - Maneater at no. 7 and Promiscuous at no. 8. Bubbling udner the top 10 is Beyonce's sophomore single off her B-Day album that will be released in about 2 weeks time, Deja Vu. Justin's comeback hit, Sexyback has the largest point increase this week, which pushed the track to no. 16 on the chart. Hot shot debut belongs to Southern All Stars who entered comfortably at no. 34 with their track Dirty Old Man.

Finally, after a string of busy days, I'm finding myself to be blogging again. Miss it so much that everytime I came online, I visited the Blogger Site, yet refrained myself to blog due to sickness which is receding already. The fever's gone entirely (bye bye! although I'm still quite hot) while the flu is getting better. Nonetheless, the sorethroat deteriorated today as flams are building up!

Anyhow, many people are turning sick these days. Julia, Tammy, Timmy, Joyie, Sky, Ernest and Elvis. Tammy jsut assume that everything has a little bit to do with the seventh month. Well, many will subscribe to that view, but I will blame it on the weather too. One moment, it's all glary and sunny. Then in no time, sky turns cloudy. The climate is way too playful lately.

Nothing much happened in university. Firstly, Monash University launched its very own campus radio. I heard some of the music during the launch, and if I'm not mistaken, it was Indonesian music that was played. Um, all I can say is, unless the top 40 hits today are being broadcasted, I won't be listening to it. Awesome features of the radio would include the podcasts in which lectures and latest news can be downloaded. Oh by the way, the moderators for it has fine taste of music too since the noteworthy artiste chosen is Shakira. Other than that, classes went on as usual with 2 to 3 boring lectures.

Haven't been updating my recaps on latest videos recently. Don't worry, if that's what you're looking forward to, I'll get my ass working very soon. The next updates will be on Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. What a coincidence if you guys can still recall the Super Bowl XXXVIII Half Time incident. It was the fresh start that changed the showbiz thanks to an "unplanned" wardrobe malfunction.

So many assignments to follow up already. Marketing: Tough. Question this week is undefined clearly. A lot fo questions in mind. Progress? Started and about 10 percent done. Business Law: Tricky, difficult. 3 questions all together. Steps to produce good answers are extremely systematic and clear. References will be a predicament. Progress? Have not even started. Accounting: All theorical questions. Sucks. Difficult. Research needed again. So far, don't even know what I should do. Always ask "where do I start?" Progress? None. D'oh.

Movies update: Dragon and tiger were tightly securing the top spot of GSC chart for the past week (03 August 2006 - 09 August 2006). Even it had been on screen for quite some time now, Pirates are still the no. 2 favorite of the locals. Entering at no. 3, The Break-Up seems to be another average movie of romance. Nevertheless, Jennifer Aniston is Hawt! Other movies in the top 10 were Lady in the Water, Someting2 Unakum Enakum (What a movie title!), Dorm, American Haunting, The Lake House, Just My Luck and Imsai Arasan blah blah (another weird movie title!).

Music update: Shakira's hips are just worthy for another week atop of the global track chart for the 13th time. It's on its way to become the most successful track of 2006! However, I expect the single to lose its top spot by next week or so since many songs are earning huge points. Gnarls, Christina and Rihanna remained at no. 2 to no. 4 respectively, while Pussycat Dolls who have been criticised by the government for their sexiness increased one spot by their song Buttons. If that news wasn't shocking enough, this will do. Stars Are Blind continues to climb up the chart, landing at no. 6 this week while being recognized as track with LARGEST point increase! Talk about insanity! Top debuts this week includes red Hot Chilli Pepper's Tell Me Baby (no. 31), Jessica Simpson's A Public Affair (no. 37) and Tiziano Ferro's Stop! Dimentica (Olvidate) (no. 40). Finally, 7th month will soon reach its midst. Um, I meant the Chinese lunar calendar. That's great, because I do relate all the bad news lately to the occurrence of the annual Hungry Ghost Festival. It bothers me to see bad news everyday about some brutal or gruesome assault, robbery, rape and murder. It is as if that it's not even safe to be out of the house. Ugh.

Nevertheless, I'm still not at home once in a while. Sent my car for its weekly bubble bath yesterday and now Keahi is all clean and ready to be penetrated by the filthy air around my housing area. Tammy and Joyie joined me during my shopping spree in Carrefour before Tam and I went out for a drink in a shop called Sweet Bean. Didn't really like the food there. We ordered some weird stuff, such as deep fried mashed sweet potatoe with chocolate filling and almond, deep fried milk cubes, and red bean with HL milk and some bitter jelly. I'll give the food a 2 1/2 while the ambience a mroe than generous 3 1/2. The only recommended food one should order should be their sago ice kacang with fruits (without the kacang of course).

Finally, I got my first ever job at Crystal Edge as a telemarketer. I can't wait to work, but somehow, I'm afraid that I might not handle the job well. As an introvert, I have difficulties in conversation, especially with strangers. Alhtough everything will be done through the phone, the fear still exists. Let's just hope that I don't screw up the part-time job because the pay is fairly good. However, there seem to be another problem that has risen. I think I'm losing my voice due to the unstable weather and the food intake these days (thanks to garlic bread and durian!).

Movies update: On the new GSC chart for week 27 July 2006 - 2 August 2006, legendary monster, Dragon had destroyed the Pirates, replacing 'em as the #1 movie. 3 seems to be the number for Lady in the Water, while an Indonesian terryfying flick, 12.00a.m. entered at a devastating no. 9!

Music update: Once again, the world isn't fed up with Shakira's honest hips, as she lead the global chart suffering only a 3 percent drop in its airplay. Christina's Man climbed a spot to no.3, whilst Rihanna too claims her third top 5 single as Unfaithful reached a new peak of no. 4. Perhaps, the fact that Paris Hilton's debut single Stars Are Blind rounded up the top 10 is extremely shocking! I can't believe it. Does she really deserves it? You tell me. Talking about her, apparently there seem to be 2 versions of her video. The one I showed to y'all few weeks ago is the milder version while the one I saw on Channel [V] yesterday was the soft-porn v. Anyway, noteworthy song this week belongs to Beyonce as her latest track, Deja Vu leaped the most, from 23-12. On the other hand, Fergie, who's most probably her rival in the music industry claims the hot shot debut arriving at no. 27! Whoa. Let's hope that her London Bridge will not break down easily. Alamak! It's a week already since I last updated. While time is moving 20km per hour, I guess I'm only one tenth of its speed. I'm just not efficient enough to do everything that i desire to. Damn.

Anyway, while I'm away for THATTT long, I enjoyed myself pretty much. After 3 days of torturing dreadful lectures and tutorials, finally I got to rest for 4 days in a row after that.

THURSDAY

Certainly a day of mixed emotions. Day7 started off normally with accounting lecture followed up by tutorial. Oh by the way, it's official! Mr. Ananda, who taught me Accountings back in Taylors Business School (TBS), is teaching me the same subject again. Except for this time, the syllabus is way tougher than the basics of Accounting which I've learned in my previous semester.

In the late evening, King Kong, Piggy, Donkey, Steph and I went to visit our ex-coursemate, Rosline who's undergoing a critical time in battling for her life. Readers, have a heart and please pray for her! I beg y'all. Once a joyful, energetic, outgoing girl, it is just way too heartbreaking to see what has she been forcefully changed into!

Then, we had dinner in my area before going to the Lantern Carnival in Bukit Jalil. Some of the lanterns are amazing, while some turned out... not so great I shall say. Oh! Orang Utan was there with us too, while Steph had left for her movie, The Break-Up. Soon, the night turned really dark as midnight approached, so we made a move.

FRIDAY

Went to Mid Valley on that day for a reunion-cum-farewell party for my fellow ex-coursemate, Vincent back in TBS. Reunited with many of my other friends too such as Wendy, Adrian and Xavier just to name a few. We were in the All Stars Cafe in Mid Valley. I was so embarrassed when I reached the place since I was late by almost an hour and a half. Only ordered dessert called um... Peppermint something, which is served with alcohol. The ice cream is mouth-watering, but as the alcohol overwhelms it, the whole dessert turned bad. Anyway, during the reunion, Donkey went insane!!! I'm so so so ashamed by her. Looks like she's not that light like she seems, huh?

After that, Steph, Piggy, Donkey and I went for a movie called Voice, the latest Korean flick in town. With a twisting plot, I have to admit that the movie ain't that abd afterall. A *** out of 5 stars is somewhat a generous ratings personally. I bet Piggy would rate it a two only. Or maybe even less than that.

SATURDAY

Another day of fun! Was with Tammy, Cow, Piggy and Fish in Sungei Wang for redbox karaoke. Belted out some new songs that day, and just like any other outings, I'm the King of Ruining Songs. Haha.

After the singing session, we allowed ourselves to be like those average posers for sticker photos in Sungei Wang, but only that we often do a bit better than 'em. ROFL. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get hold of the photos which is still with the Orang Utan who is most probably swinging it's way to KLIA right now.

SUNDAY

Nothing much happened today except that I went for a movie in Mid Valley with a friend. Saw Dorm, another horror film in Thai from the same director of Shutter, the popular horror movie back then. Dorm is a great movie about friendship, yet not much of horrific elements, while the latter one IS more of a horror movie. Therefore, don't expect a Shutter 2 like movie in Dorm. Plot is almost simple, and predictable. Nevertheless, the movie did what it is supposed to do when everything is put together, which is to entertain the audience. I have to say that I'm touched towards the ending. Was holding my tears so hard, while some other movie-goers in the same cinema have already sobbing. My ratings for the movie, **** out of 5!

FINAL DAY, MONDAY

Just another plain, boring day. Had to stay at home the whole day to finish off some work which is due tomorrow. Sigh, a new week has come. Without much realisation, I think I'll soon be sitting for tests and exams already!

Movies update: Finally, the Pirates had been defeated by the Police after controlling the U.S. Box Office for 3 straight weeks (source). ANother movie which I want to watch badly is The Ant Bully, which came in at a disappointing no. 5. Well, since Finding Nemo, Shrek and The Incredibles, some digitally animated movies had been having a hard time in meeting expectations. How sad. Hope that doesn't stop wealthy producers to come up with fresh, box-office dominator animated movies. Unlike in the States, Malaysians are still living under the control of the Pirates, as it conquers the GSC box office chart for another week while Dorm entered the chart at no. 2! Music update: Shakira continues to rule the glode with her hips that don't lie for the eleventh week! Largest points increase last week belongs to Rihanna's Unfaithful. Is it such a norm today to be unfaithful?? Top debut at no. 18 was snatched by Kat-Tun, a japanese boy group with a song called Signal. Have nothing to comment on them, since I have no knowledge about them at all. And for fucking sake, why is Paris Hilton's Stars Are Blind still climbing up the chart?! Hopefully once summer is over, she'll be off the chart! (source)

Was supposed to go out today, but Tammy couldn't make it. Sigh, there goes my triplet concert with her and Cow. I prepared myself so much to belt out my favorite love songs today, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I guess the plan is postponed! Yes, postponed, and not cancelled.

Anyhow, was out yesterday night to Subang for dinner. Had a plate of fish fingers in Salmon Steakhouse. The food there is rather appetizing, given it's modest price. Um, a must try will be the italian crispy chicken chop. That's quite savoury. As for the drinks, a large glass of fruit juice is just RM5, so go for that. The ambience is somewhat good at the outdoor. Indoor, not so.

Week #2 is already here. According to my schedule, I'll have a test for Business Data Modelling in 3 weeks time. Sigh, that dull subject... However, I think things should spice up a bit this week as I will learn stuffs like the Chi-Square and different sampling techniques soon. Talking about studies, I have yet to finish my assignment which is due tomorrow and my preparations for this week's tutorials.

Their hatred towards it is so strong that they even started a petition against it ordering her to reshoot the sick, devastating, boring, and irrelevant video (source). What is wrong with 'em? I love the video so far.

Movies update: The Pirates continued their reign in the U.S. box office for 3 weeks now, pulling in another $35 million over the weekend. Monster House, a new animated movie is the top debut of the week, settling at no. 2 with $23 million. Shyamalan's latest offer, Lady in the Water entered at no.3, raking in a disapponting $18 million only. Uma's latest flick called My Super Ex-Girlfriend performed badly too, as it earned less than $10 million. Nevertheless, I will still watch it when I have the time. (source)

Movie updates: The Pirates fought well, as their ship invaded the U.S. box office for another week, pulling in approximately $60 million durings it's second weekend, for an amazing total of $250 million in jsut a short period (source). As the movie just opened in M'sia, it has yet to enter the national movies chart yet. Having said so, Superman is still mighty locally as it remained as the box office champion for GSC (06 July 2006 - 12 July 2006). Opened last week, Recycle arrived at #2. A new chart shoould be tabulated soon, with a brand new entry at number 1 (Pirates of the Caribbean), I expect.

21st June 2006. Shocking day.

My house was flooded by the heavy rain in the evening. It all started with the dark miserable clouds taking over the clear blue sky at about 3 o'clock, before the filthy water came pouring down. At that time, I was still making snapshots of Paris Hilton's latest 'sex' video (which will be discussed later), and then i felt some water leaking through the ceiling. It's the first time. A very negative feeling struck me, and as I turned to my right, water gushed through the open links between the rooftop and the ceiling, onto the pillars next to my computer. I panicked, and quickly switched off the computer. My mind went blank of what to be done next for a moment, before running to my mom to tell her about the 'yin' situation that was happening. It really took me by surprise, since it had never happened before. I was dumb enough to think that my house was gonna collapse any moment.

The aftermath.

1. Flooded balcony a.k.a. my study room. Some magazines piled up on the floor is wet. A part of the carpet is wet. The walls were leaking too.

2. A new layout fo my room. Shifted my computer table to a safer place. Now the study room becomes a living/store room.

Hmm, got a call from my mom through the phone just now. She's checking on me again, as usual. Maybe checking isn't the right word, more of... she wants to know what I'm doing, where I'm at, etc. Had a little talk on her on computers and contact lens. She warned me about the consequences of both things. First, she said that internet can drive someone crazy, as she read it from the newspaper that a computer geek kille his mom for being over obsessive with pc games. Well, I will never ever do that. Can hardly believe that my mom actually thought that I'm not sound enough to think wisely as a ninteen year old. Onto the contact lens, she just advised me to take good care of the cleanliness of the lens before putting them onto my eyes in avoidance of bacteria infection. Well, sometimes I am a bit lazy to wash of the lens and stuff, but heck, I'm mroe careful now as the cases of eye infection are soaring these days. Still remember the case of Alicia. And the case of um... braunch and lombs solution? Is that how the brand name is spelt?

Went to California Fitness today. While I was preparing myself to leave the place after a warm bath, suddenly I heard something familiar, and rather surprising being aired on the radio. It was Ms. Paris Hilton's debut single, called Star Are Blind. First, her sex tape was accidentally distributed all over the net. Then her fame grew as she starred in A Simple Life. Ok, sex tape: hit. TV reality show: hit. After that, she crossed over to movies. Don't y'all remember her lame slutty character in House of Wax ? Movie: hit. And finally, she's competing in the music industry as well. With a song like Star Are Blind, I doubt that it'll be her breakout hit single. The song is just... fine to me, but doesn't deserve much airplays and complements. Critics should be hard on it. Watching the video very much reminded me of the of the late pop-princess-turned-mother Britney, a.k.a. Mrs. Federline. I jsut spot a lot of similarities of between Paris's video with Britney's Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know. Well, except, Britney did it better than Paris. If Britney reaches a hotness of 5/5, Paris hits only 3/5.

Picking up from where I left in my previous blog is pretty hard. Blogging needs commitment, and I have abandoned that particular activity for months now. And yet, although I can't be 100 percent committed to it, here I am again blogging. Alright, stop the blah blah blah now. So, this layout is simple, and guess people might find it ugly too. It's fine with me, since I'm very much in love with the color of green.

Alright, updates on what have been going on...

1. University life is such a crap. Too many assignments for a short 14 weeks semester. Stress-o-meter: over the limit. But luckily, I managed to survive through my first semester, and hopefully little effort that I put in my studies during my past semester will produce a fairly satisfying result that grants me the entrance to my 2nd semester without failing any subjects (not just management, but all!).

2. Movies are my best friends when I'm bored and have lots of time to spend. To date, I have watched a total of 90 movies this year. Some of the late movies that I managed to catch were Over the Hedge (a reasonably lame animated movie), X-3: The Last Stand (Storm mesmerized me, great movie overall, and poor Cyclops), The Omen 666 (not a bad remake, with some humorous scenes), High School Musical (another teen/kid movie produced by Disney, quite liked it actually), etc.

3. Lately, I've became a TV drama series addict. Just a few weeks ago I couldn't get enough of Lost, season 1 and 2. That fucking-interesting drama is really entertaining. But the plot is pretty fucked-up too to see the characters I favored dying. Just to name a few, Ana-Lucia, Boone and Shannon. Jack's been a little impatient in season 2, and I can't stand his anger at times. Sigh. Another drama that im catching up is none other than the hilarious That 70s show. Call me lame, call me dumb, but I just love the burns, the jokes and the laughters in the drama. Guess what, I jsut started from season 1, and now I'm at season 2, almost completing it soon. Heck, the drama's a good time filler.

4. As semester 1 has wrapped up, I'm currently on holidays. Finally got some time to spend alone privately, and with friends. Right on the first day, went out with Kel, Jul, and Amb to Sungei Wang for redbox and meal. We wished for more people (the more the merrier, right?), but Hel and Caryn were unable to show themselves up (betrayers!!). Anyway, here's one of the many sticker photos that we took on that day.

5. Ms. Beyonce has announced the date of the release of hew new album simply entitled B-Day after her birthday, which lands on the 5th of September this year! Her new single, Deja Vu, will definitely storm up the charts globally soon. I've heard the radio ripped version that has been leaked to the internet some time ago, and oh boy, it's such a hot hot hot single! Oh, well, another summer hit will be that new single from Ms. X-tina, called... Ain't No Other Man if I'm not wrong. It's a good song, but doesn't appeal much to me compared to Deja Vu. Another song for this summer will be the new single from the long gone, almost forgotten, and perhaps, legendary? Ms. Janet Jackson. The song, which I don't know the title, features the collaboration with the Pop-Rapper, Nelly. Bumped into the song while I was visiting one of her fansites, and hell yeah, a soothing song which reminds me of the sweet Dilemma from Nelly and Kelly Rowland.

6. Hmm, football fever has taken over many as World Cup has started. What I anticipate from the World Cup, it's the live eprformance of Ms. Shakira during the final match on the 9th of July. Now that's something that I really lookf roward to. I wouldnt' spend my time watching all the matches, as some of them are certainly boring to me. For me, matches that involves Germany, England, Spain, Brazil, and a few more countries that are overrated are worth watching. Oh oh, and I heard about that Afg match which resulted in a 6-0. Whoa. Great. 6.

7. Last one before I chao, Sri Garden will be having their annual International Understanding Day on the 27th this month. Is anyone going? Or planning to go? The theme: ParadIsland. Cool. I love beaches (and bitches), sand, nature, etc...

8. Nothing special, but I bumped into Kezanne in the pasar malam at Sri Petaling today. Then yesterday, saw Alicia (the one from Monash, Wei Chiang's gyal), and a i-don't-know-his-name guy from Monash Uni Malaysis in Mid Valley yesterday. Let's see who am I gonna meet in coincidence tomorrow...
